Culture Network Moment Leuven #3
between 6 PM and 10 PM
This time, the CultuurNetwerk Leuven lands at LUCA School of Arts, campus Lemmens. A breeding ground and learning place for many generations of actors and musicians, and sometimes even cultural workers. Therefore, this evening is dedicated to (lifelong) learning. During this networking moment, you will have the chance to meet colleagues from the cultural field, receive updates from the Leuven cultural sector, and participate in various content sessions on current themes. As usual, we will end the evening with a drink and a chat.
You choose how to fill your evening. If you come directly after work, we will provide food between 6 pm and 7 pm.
If you join later - that's also possible - the meeting and plenary session start at 7 pm. A report of the plenary session will always follow to the wider network.
Is coming later your only option? Then join from 8 pm for one of the content sessions.

Breakout sessions (8:00 PM - 9:30 PM)
How do I make my dossier stand out?
No classic subsidy guide – those already exist – but a session with concrete advice and clear guidelines to make your application stand out. Ideal for those who want to strengthen their dossier without reinventing the wheel. The session is conducted by Stefanie Lambrechts and is aimed at artists, entrepreneurs, and anyone who wants to apply for grants.
Money, money, money: funding for cultural organizations and practices
This training provides a clear overview of the different ways to fund a creative project or operation and helps you choose the most suitable option. You will learn what skills are needed for each form of funding and how to determine what best fits your project. The training starts from your concrete funding needs, considering the stage of your career and the type of activities for which you are seeking resources. A session full of inspiring examples and practical tools for amateur arts, small organizations, artists, and non-profits, conducted by Cultuurloket.
Cheaper, shared space: is that possible?
In this session, you will get a clear overview of the current and future plans regarding (cultural) infrastructure and shared spaces in the city of Leuven, supplemented with insights at the Flemish level. Sharing space is thriving in many sectors, not just within culture - there is a lot happening. Additionally, you will get to know various space providers in Leuven who offer their rooms and workspaces at a reasonable price. For anyone searching for, renting, or wanting to share space.
Removing barriers – Inclusion and access to the cultural sector
During this session, we will pause to address questions about inclusion and accessibility within organizations. We will explore where barriers are present, what is feasible in the short term, and where structural work is needed. There is also room to share experiences and look for ways to sustainably anchor inclusion and accessibility in the operations and in grant applications. This session is conducted by Amani El Haddad, GKO, and is intended for organizations and non-profits within the cultural sector that apply for operational funding.
Social media workshop for associations
Does your association feel like you are 'just doing something' on social media? Posting ad hoc when it suits without much structure or regularity? You are definitely not alone. In this lecture, we will examine your current social media channels and see what is already good and what can be improved. You will learn how to have more impact on social media and gain inspiration and motivation to start working on it yourself. You will go home with some concrete tips. For associations and small non-profits.
